Goal

I CAN orient and reorient myself in the water.

Success criteria

The student orients themselves when retrieving the object of the color indicated by the teacher and, after completing a task proposed by the teacher, reorients to return to the poolside.

Environment/Space/Equipment

Deep water pool.
One lane.
Various underwater objects in blue, red, green, and yellow.

Group management

Teams of 3 children. The teacher is outside of the water.

Duration:15 min.

Pre-requisites

Independent movement and ability to perform rolls in the water.

Description

Students are "aquatic explorers" on a mission to find "sunken treasures" (colored objects at the bottom of the pool) and return to the safe base (poolside). Each "treasure" is associated with a specific orientation (front, back, rolls, etc.).

1. Preparation:
• Objects of different colors and sizes are scattered at the bottom of the pool.
• The poolside will be the explorers' safe base.
• Each color corresponds to a form of movement and reorientation:
