Success criteria

The participant who completes the 10m slalom in the shortest time

Environment/Space/Equipment

You need swimming boards and any 10 accessories scattered over the surface of the water.
Deep water, swimming pool.

Group management

Task performed individually on time.

Time/Duration/Schedule

5-15 minutes. Minimum of 2 attempts for each child.

Pre-requisite

Participants must be comfortable in deep water.

Description

Instruction: Participants stand vertically on the boards with their legs flexed at the knees, submerged in water. They make movements with their hands so that they can (without falling off the board) slalom through the water without touching among the objects scattered, floating on the water.

The swimming course is arbitrary, but a distance of 10m must be covered in the shortest possible time. Any 10 objects float freely along the route.

Every time a participant touches an object during the slalom, an additional 1s penalty is added.

Lower level instruction : Participants perform the same task, but in a seated position on a board.
