Goal

I CAN jump into the water in different ways
I DO create funny and dynamic jump sequences with others.
I REACT by letting myself fall without breaking the human chain.
I FEEL confident and safe when I fall into the water

Success criteria

Children execute multiple jumps from the edge using safe and creative techniques while they are linked to each other (tuck, pencil, twist, etc.). 

Environment/Space/Equipment

Pool edge (shallow or deep depending on skill). No equipment required

Group management

Groups of 3–5. Each child jumps in sequence to form a “jump chain.” Instructor supervises safety and encourages creativity from the side of the pool. 

Time/Duration/Schedule

5–15 minutes. Suitable for mid- or end-of-lesson fun and coordination. 

Pre-requisite

Comfort with water entry and basic jumping skills

Description

Children form a chain and take turns jumping into the water using different positions or styles. They are falling into the water together like a wave.
 
Progression: From sitting positions to more complex positions. Increase complexity or introduce team challenges.
Add themes (animals, numbers).
